Task 4 is to Say It Out Loud!
I always have shared my exercise activities openly on Facebook. And I know that my friends love reading about what I am doing. But I have not publicly posted about the 12wbt program. I feel as though everyone will just think, Theres Roxanne doing yet another program! When I do post to Facebook this time, and I will post to my page not just my exercise groups, I am going to ask for a virtual training partner. I want someone who will check in on me daily and publicly ask me about my workouts and food. But that someone will need to be on my fitness pal because I have not found a way to post my food journal to Facebook!
I have let my family know what I am doing. And they nag me until I get my exercise done! But my husband and I will have a lengthy conversation about my goals. And we will shake on it.
All that said, I commit to complete the 12wbt program. My commitment includes following the meal plans and exercise program.
I commit to being under 200 pounds at the end of the program. To do so, I exercise 6 days a week for 60 minutes. I run c25k three days per week. I keep my fuel consumption to 1200 cal/day.
That was scary. But now that it is written following through to posting on Facebook doesn't seem so daunting.
Hi Roxanne,
ReplyDeleteI have just signed up to Michelle's 12 week course - it's all so new and so freaking scary! Your journey seems a lot like mine (apart from the kids part!).
I am 231lb (105kg) at the moment and I have the same thing of - I don't really try lots of different diets but I do have times when I'm motivated for a couple of months and lose lots of weight and then put it all back on again. I've loved reading your comments about running because I used to love to run (five years ago when I was 30 I got down to 132lb - 60kg - a magical mark for me! I stayed there for about 3 minutes before I put all the weight back on again!) and I would love to start again but when I learned to run back then I was 'only' 176lb (80kg). I'm a bit scared my body will die if I try to run at this weight! But I want to do it.. Anyway.. I hope I can. I've just spent (NOT wasted!) $200 to try to learn to do it again so we'll see how it goes, I guess!
Good luck with it all,
robyn xx
Thanks for your comment, Robyn. I started running again at about 225 pounds. I was amazed at how well my body has handled it. I am using c25k. I just finished week 4 and feel like I could run a full 5k tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI say get your runners on and go for 1 min intervals. If your body can't handle it it will let you know. I have to be honest my ankles hurt the first few weeks. Actually today was the first time they didn't hurt 😀!
Good luck.
